Social Media Internship

The Social Media Intern will promote the mission and work of The People and our partner organizations through our online presence including our newsletter, website and social media. You may also have the opportunity to work on additional graphic design and video editing projects, and can use this internship as an opportunity to build your portfolio with published work. This is an UNPAID internship and is not stipended; however, we are happy to work with your school/institution to provide documentation confirming project work to fulfill academic credit / service requirements.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create content and graphics for social media posts and website

  • Track analytics and use data to grow followers and engagement

  • Increase our social media presence by following and tagging partner organizations

Skills: 

  • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication

  • Graphic design

  • Social media savvy

Qualifications: Must be 18 years old and authorized to work in the US. High School diploma or equivalent. College students preferred with strong preference for students currently pursuing a degree in Liberal Arts, Communications, Political Science or a closely related field. Willingness to work collaboratively and with diverse stakeholders 

Work Schedule: Flexible schedule to fill approximately 10-15 hours/week, with exact days and times to be determined according to your schedule. All job duties may be done from home, but weekly digital meetings with the project supervisor and weekly organization-wide internship briefings will be required via Zoom. 

Duration: This internship is offered for either summer semester or both summer and fall semesters and is available beginning May 20th, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
