The People New Hampshire
Overview
In New Hampshire, we are helping people come together as a community, putting party loyalty aside, to work to fix our broken relationship with each other and with our democracy - rule by rule, community by community, reform by reform. We do this by first gaining community insight, determining citizen goals, and building an agenda for future progress. The goal is to help forge the way towards real systemic change and pave the way for others in New Hampshire to follow suit.
While we have seen success in the application of our model in ballot initiative states, New Hampshire will be the initial pilot state in developing the model for citizen-led reform in a legislative state.
Voter Perspective
In 2020 and 2021, we surveyed a demographically representative group of Granite Staters from across New Hampshire to hear their thoughts around civic engagement, reform issues, and growing partisanship.
We found that the majority of Granite Staters are willing to engage in the political process to make positive change to the system, and to reach outside their own networks to bridge political divides.
Our learnings have shaped the way we work in New Hampshire, and will continue to be incorporated as we bring together more voices.
Upcoming Events
Stay tuned! Plans are underway for a series of community conversations this spring and summer, leading up to a statewide citizen assembly this fall.

Get Involved
Granite Staters are the core of our work in New Hampshire, and we want YOU to get involved!
We have opportunities to plug-in in lots of areas - including event planning, social media, advisory board membership and more.
Partnerships
We believe that we are strongest when we work together, so we are actively looking for groups and organizations we can partner with to engage Granite Staters in the reform process. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to the opportunity to work along side you.
