Our team members are from across the country, representing different backgrounds and bring exciting experiences to help grow The People. The People has grown through hiring staff who previously worked for Katie Fahey in Michigan under Voters Not Politicians. The intentions for our staff is to hire from across the country and political spectrum as we scale nationally.
Kathryn Fahey is the Executive Director of The People. She works full time for the organization from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to working for The People, Katie was the Executive Director of Voters Not Politicians in Michigan where she led over 14,000 state-wide volunteers to organize and pass a ballot proposal with 61% of the vote resulting in changing the Michigan constitution to make political gerrymandering illegal. Head of Messaging and Marketing
Andrew Shue is the Head of Messaging and Marketing and the Board President of The People. He volunteers his time for the organization from New York City. Andrew has been a social entrepreneur throughout his career in entertainment and business. Head of Citizens Dialogue
Frank Luntz is an American political consultant, pollster, and "public opinion guru", best known for developing talking points and other messaging for various Republican causes. Luntz's most recent work has been with Fox News as a frequent commentator and analyst, as well as running focus groups during and after presidential debates on CBSN. As the Head of Citizens Dialogue Frank facilitated the first round of conversations which brought together people from different political backgrounds. Paige Bartkowiak is the Head of National Development for The People. She works full time for the organization from Lansing, Michigan. Prior to working for The People, Paige was the Major Fundraising Event Coordinator for Voters Not Politicians and a fundraiser for Senator Debbie Stabenow. Paige’s understanding of political systems and development is highlighted in her work with building programming and raising funds. Amy Schultz Blaine
Head of Programming
Amy Schultz Blaine is the Head of Programming for The People. She works full time for the organization from Royal Oak, Michigan. Most recently, Amy served as the Operations Director for Voters Not Politicians and prior to that, she spent over 20 years in corporate America helping Fortune 500 companies implement systems and processes to support data-driven decisions. Amy is a leader with demonstrated effectiveness in building and leading teams recognized for their ability to deliver complex projects on-budget and on-schedule. She received her BS in Statistics from the University of Michigan, an MS in Statistics from Ohio State University and a Masters in Environmental Management and Sustainability from Illinois Institute of Technology. Sarah Fuchs is a non-profit professional with over 10 years of experience. With a BA in Sociology & Political Science from Purdue University, and an MPS from the Clinton School of Public Service, Sarah has spent her career focused on bending the arc towards justice as a part of teams from AmeriCorps, President Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the Clinton Foundation. Sarah’s love for Haiti grew from work done in education research and relationships made while living in Haiti in 2015.
