University Partnerships Coordinator

Deliberations.US is an exciting new opportunity built from a collaboration between The People and Equal Citizens.

What is Deliberations.US?

Deliberations.US is a collaborative project between The People and Equal Citizens. We want to make civic deliberation a pillar of American political life. To do so, we created Deliberations.US, a project aimed at bringing Americans together from across the country and the political spectrum for conversations on our nation’s most pressing political issues. On a video chat platform designed for small group discussions,  participants meet and talk with their fellow Americans,  review the facts and the best arguments from all sides, share their experiences, concerns, and values, and  develop informed opinions — all in pursuit of common ground on common sense reform. To learn more, visit Deliberations.US.

About The People:

The People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focused on bringing Americans together to find common ground around nonpartisan policy reforms. We believe in the American people’s ability to drive change for accountability and responsiveness in our politics. The People embraces diversity and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages people of color, ethnic minorities, women, and
individuals from the LGBTQ community to apply.

About Equal Citizens:

Equal Citizens is a national nonprofit founded by Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Lessig to promote political equality. We fight gerrymandering, big money in politics, and voter suppression by promoting thoughtful policy solutions such as campaign finance  and systemic electoral reform. We also run unconventional, novel, and high-impact campaigns  designed to offer new strategies to improve our democracy. These campaigns include major litigation  at the state and federal level and projects like Deliberations.US.
