Volunteer On Your Own Time, At Your Own Pace

  • Are you skilled in the area of graphic design? We are looking for help with graphics for our website, specific events, social media, etc. This project can be done from home on an ongoing basis or you can choose to work on occasional projects as your schedule allows. Sometimes projects will need a quick turn-around. You will be provided with our branding fonts and colors.

  • The goal of this project is to research grants and identify those for which The People would be a good candidate. You will enjoy this project if you like doing research, writing, summarizing, and presenting information. You can do this project from home on your own schedule, but you may also attend grant committee meetings where you will have the opportunity to present what you found, gather feedback, and get direction for next steps. You will be required to sign an NDA or Confidentiality Agreement.

  • Write hand-written Thank You notes to donors and volunteers. We provide you with a template to copy and the name and address of the donor or volunteer. Usually 3-6 thank you notes per month. If you are able to provide inexpensive thank you cards and postage as a donation, that's great! If not, we can mail you a supply. You will be asked to sign an NDA due to the private information to which you will have access.

  • Edit videos for use on our website and social media. This can be an ongoing volunteer opportunity or you can volunteer occasionally on specific projects. When projects come up, it could be 1-3 hours of volunteer time.

  • The Website Review project helps us uphold a level of quality control for our Website. Volunteers will be asked to repeatedly check in and test our website, look for errors or redundancies, and maintain a stream of feedback on the state of our website. This project can be done in as little as 1 hour per week and an unlimited maximum of hours per week.
